Why Margarets Hope? The owner of the Estate (Cruikshank) brought his daughter Margaret to this tea garden and she was very attracted to the beauty of this garden. She left the Tea Garden promising that she would one day return while leaving for England. Margaret never did return, sadly, having succumb to illness on her voyage home. The garden was renamed after Margaret in commemoration. Margarets Hope provides an excellent crisp flavour and body at a very good price. It is truly a staple for any Darjeeling enthusiast.
